Of Light - Archive' contains all
Bauhaus
promotional videos alongside live performances recorded at the Old Vic Theatre,
London in 1982. Originally released on two VHS cassettes, it's a
contemporaneous document of the first incarnation of this legendary band who

disbanded in 1983, members
Peter
Murphy, Daniel Ash, David J, and Kevin Haskins found success both as solo
artists and as members of Love And Rockets, Tones On Tail, and
Dalis Car.

Bauhaus. A must

'The Burden of Mules' by
The Wolfgang
Press, finally gets a CD release by 4AD, on November 21st 2005. It's one of
the last 4AD albums to make it onto CD, from the extensive backcatalogue. It's
Mail Order only, although there will be limited stock available in stores in
the US from 10th January 2006. After Rema-Rema disbanded, Gary Asquith, Mick
Allen, and Mark Cox formed arty post-punk outfit Mass with Danny Briottet. The
group subsequently split into two halves: Asquith and Briottet formed Renegade
Soundwave, while Allen and Cox remained with 4AD for their new project, The
Wolfgang Press. The Wolfgang
Press' debut album, 'The Burden Of Mules', originally released in 1983,
ploughed a similar post-punk furrow to Rema-Rema and Mass. It featured guest
contributions from fellow 4AD signings Richard Thomas (Dif Juz) and David
Steiner (In Camera), plus, crucially, guitarist Andrew Gray. The latter soon
joined the group full-time. Tracklisting: 01.Lisa (The Passion) 02. Prostitute I 03. The Burden Of Mules 04. Complete And Utter 05.Prostitute II 06. Slow As A Child 07.Journalists 08. Give It Back 09.On The Hill Order: The Burden of Mules Nov 25, 2005 COVENANT: 'Ritual
Noise' is the new Covenant single,
scheduled for release on Metropolis Records on January 24, 2006, and lifted off
their upcoming album 'Skyshapers'. Stylistically, Ritual Noiseis
reminiscent of their seminal album 'Sequencer' mixed with the top notch
production of 'Northern Light'. Featuring several mixes of the title track as
well as b-sides, Ritual Noise is an incredible teaser for the upcoming
album Skyshaper in 2006.

the musicians have gone home. I am two thirds of the way through one of the

While drawing on the powerful angst seen in other electro acts such as
Front 242, Skinny
Puppy and even Nine Inch

message and meaning in his work through his very personal intense music and the
often emotional, sometimes political dimension of his lyrics. On January 13th
2006, Leaether Strip celebrate its 18 years of existence and Claus Larsen has
chosen that very special day to unleash his much anticipated new album aptly
titled 'After The Devastation'. Although 5 years of silence almost killed him,
it is by putting his pain into music, again, that Claus Larsen has managed to
resurface from a deep depression to feel today stronger and more confident than
ever before. By far his most personal and open-hearted album ever, 'After The
Devastation' alternates from the very intimate to more political oriented

Britain, this dark post new-wave electronic folk duo Drunk With Joy is
releasing its eagerly awaited debut album 'Sound Living' on December 5th, 2005
on A Maze Records. Drunk With Joy's first single I Say Goodbye, promoted
solely on the internet, landed the group worldwide acclaim for dragging the
concept of protest songs into the 21st century, with their moody concoction of
teutonic beats, twisted guitar and cello symphonies, haunting vocals and
brutally honest lyrics. The duo is comprised of vocalist Mila Oshin and
songwriter and programmer Kris Jager. 'Sound Living' is a superb release from
an up and coming talent, sounding like a cross between
Siouxsie
Sioux, Portishead and
Delerium.

group name of 'Nine Horses', 'Snow Borne Sorrow' is a collaboration between
ex-Japan lead singer
David Sylvian,
his brother and frequent collaborator Steve Jansen and electronic composer /
remixer Burnt Friedman. Lyrically and vocally, 'Snow Borne Sorrow' continues
the maturing darkness of
Sylvian's last
solo release 'Blemish' - songs of struggle, doubt and resolve, Bergman-like
glimpses of the realities and difficulties of intimate relationship, flashes of
light and humility and, continuing his engagement with the political situation
in post- 9/11 America, begun on his 2004 single with Ryuichi Sakamoto, World
Citizen, caustic words about the excuses our leaders manage to find not to
'love thy neighbor'. 'Snow Borne Sorrow' was made with a cast of contributors,
including Norwegian trumpeter and Supersilent member Arve Henriksen, Swedish
vocalist Stina Nordenstam, who adds marvelously elliptical responses to
Sylvian's
vocal on the opening Wonderful World, and Ryuichi Sakamoto on piano.

band. The album should be completed by November 1st, and is entitled
'Ringleader Of The Tormentors'. Tony Visconti is most famous for production on
all of the early albums by T.Rex and David Bowie. Jeff Saltzman (known for his
work with The
Killers), who was originally named as producer, could not undertake the
project. The album is engineered by Marco Origel, who is from the San Francisco
area. 'Ringleader Of The Tormentors' will be released on Attack Records early
in 2006. Morrisseyis
delighted with the album which he describes as the most
beautifulperhaps the most gentle, so far. The official Morrissey
website morrisseymusic.com takes a new look with the mainpage displaying the
year 2006 in roman letters 'MMVI', in anticipation of the new album release.

music sounds like it was created by a veteran of the dark electronic scene,
this is actually programmer Mario Schumacher's debut work. After a year of
working on tracks, Mario decided the pieces needed a vocalist, and recruited
none other than Seabound frontman
Frank Spinath. What started out as a temporary guest vocalist position became,
on account of the chemistry between music and vocal, an ongoing arrangement and
Schumacher and Spinath became bandmembers. Since then, Edge Of Dawn has become
one of Germany's hottest underground tips for intelligent electro, not only for
tracks like the clubhit The Flight [Lux] but also for the grandiose,
solemn Descent, a breathtaking piece that truly deserves the two
seemingly opposing descriptors of "organic" and
"electronic". Musically, the project inhabits a space between bands
like Covenant,
older Lassigue Bendthaus and...
Seabound. The
debut 9-track EP 'The Flight [Lux]' is scheduled for release on Nov 18, on
Dependent Records in Europe, and on Dec 06, on Metropolis Records in the USA.
The following tracks will be included on the EP: The Flight [Lux] , Losing
Ground , Descent , Find A Way Out , Elegance. Source: edgeofdawn.de EPICA: Subsequent to the
pioneering albums 'The Phantom Agony' (2003) and 'Consign to Oblivion' (2005),
Epica presents 'The Score - An Epic Journey', a stunning soundtrack that stirs
the imagination whilst succeeding in being an epic trip without any
accompanying pictures. 'The Score' is much more than simply Epica without
the Gothic rock. The remaining orchestrations have been worked out into
the most minute details with strong arrangements. As a result, The Score has
become an extremely attractive album which will appeal to a far larger
audience. An album that might be regarded as detached from all the earlier
Epica work, but also
as the next logical step. On their previous album Consign to Oblivion you could
allready hear that they had it in them to write filmmusic, now their dream came
true. Some of the tracks of 'The Score - An Epic Journey' appear in the Dutch
film, 'Joyride'. While it was originally reported that the album would not
feature vocalist Simone Simons, she does appear on a couple re-worked tracks
from Epica's latest
studio album, 'Consign To Oblivion'. One is a solo version of the ballad
Trois Vierges, which originally featured a duet between Simons and
Kamelot vocalist Roy S. Khan. Released: Sep 2005.Tracklisting: 01. Vengeance is Mine 02. Unholy Trinity 03. The Valley 04. Caught in a Web 05. Insomnia 06. Under the Aegis 07. Blutengel are back with a bang ... with an EP release ram-packed with dark hit
tunes. 'The Oxidising Angel' shows Chris Pohl and his singing graces at their
best - a guaranteed floor filler, the title track stands as a perfect example
as to how gothic electronic dance music should sound in the year 2005. Driving
beats meet sinister but melodic electronica and atmospheric synthesizer pads.
Pohls characteristic dark vocal timbre delivers the addictive tune of the
song with a lot of emotion, while his female counterparts take the listener to
other worlds. With "The Oxidising Angel"
Blutengel
prove once more that they are one of the top acts within the dark electro
scene. The Limited Edition version of the EP is presented in Deluxe packaging
in book form with a linen cover and metal foil print. As a bonus, it also
