DEC 31, 2007 WAYNE HUSSEY: Now that
Wayne Hussey has put
The Mission
UK project to rest, he transitions to his solo carreer with a first
acoustic album titled 'Bare'. The album was recorded by Wayne at his studio in
Brazil over the last couple of months and will be available to buy on CD at the
shows on the
Mission's 'Farewell Tour' in February. The CD will also be available to buy
via the official Mission website.
It includes a cover of U2's With or Without
You, and a cover of
The Cure's A
Night Like This. This is what Wayne had to say about the new solo acoustic
record: "The recordings are loosely based on the solo shows I have
played over the last few years. It's basically just acoustic guitar, piano,
some other keyboards like organ and mellotron, an old beat box, and cello on a
track or two. There are no electric guitars, no bass, no 'real' drums. In fact,
no band. In a lot of respects I don't really consider 'Bare' as being my first
solo album. It's more an acoustic re-working of part of my past and I would
prefer to think that my first 'proper' solo album will be all new songs and
will be looking to the future rather than the past and that will, more than
likely, be the next thing I work on next year after the tour. I'm hoping that
being able to release records under my own name, ratherthan a 'brand' name like
The Mission,
will ultimately afford me more artistic freedom."Tracklisting: 1. A Night like This 2. Keep It In The Family 3. Black Mountain Mist 4. With Or Without You 5. Shelter From The Storm 6. recent interview with Release Magazine,
Covenant's
founding member Joakim Montelius admit that they were very close to quitting.
On their recent DVD 'In Transit', Covenant had revealed that founding member
Clas Nachmanson was leaving the band, and the lyrics on Skyshaper "It's
time for us to fade away" had strongly suggested that the end was
near. But now the recharged band aims at version 2, with a new line-up, a new
sound and a new album in the making. Daniel Myer from Haujobb has been an on
stage stand-in for Nachmanson for about a year now and will now be involved in

IMMORTELLE:
L'ame
Immortelle are back to the label where everything began: Trisol. Their new
album 'Namenlos' can be regarded as the musical and conceptual peak of their
career as it deliberately combines the coarse style of the their beginnings
with the qualities of their most successful album 'Dann Habe Ich Umsonst
Gelebt' and offers a mixture of hard but melodic electro sounds with aggressive
and distorted male vocals and emotional melodies with Sonja's crystal-clear
hymn-like voice. Pounding industrial beats meet heart-breaking Dark Wave
synthetic harmonies and reflected German poetry opposes angry English lyrics.

interview to RockLine.it vocalist
Peter
Murphy confirmed the rumors about the new
Bauhaus album
expected in early 2008: "Since Bauhaus are no longer a band working
together, we are planning at least to release an album that was recorded in a
stunning 18 day period including writing recording and mixing , and this should
reach your doorsteps early 2008. I plan to play Bauhaus material from time to
time from this point on in the future. This is a change from my policy over the
years whereas in my own live work I chose never to play Bauhaus material,
preferring to leave that to whenever the band were to decide to reform. Now
that Bauhaus has seen its last incarnation as a bona fide band, the tours of
the recent year and a half were our last ever. So from now on, I will
incorporate my Bauhaus work into my solo concert
work".The album is titled 'Go Away White' (as announced by Sonic Seducer Mag) and is scheduled for release in March 2008 on Vinyl Records. Link: bauhausmusik.com TARJA
