> Volition by Chadi Tannous The Refuge by Chadi Tannous In a time of sorrow, in a space of grief Sadness and pain Abundant as rain Will Life rescue me? Or will death make me live? Confusion and perplexity Wrecking my hopes Will the sun make me subsist? Or will darkness brighten my roads? I wake up every morning to my misery I sleep every night on my angst Days are so gloomy Nights are so vivid The gale is rampant The sun and the moon are mourning Nature, mother of all, is moaning ... While the earth is cheering Offering refuge for all. Inspiration by Chadi Tannous As I look at the deep sea of my life where my favorite reverie drowned Its surface frowning upon me as to keep me away Its waves smiling at me as to lure me in Gazing far and Struggling to see beyond the horizon I prayed for forgiveness Looking deep inside Trying to see through the dusk I reflected for a revelation I begged for a fresh trance The revelation is blurred Scars defining its bounds Blemishes diminishing its allure Using the pencil of courage I over marked the scars Applying the brush of Life I colored the spots of blood The dream is breathing My heart is moved My mind is stimulated Heaven is stirred And my eyes open for a new inspiration |
