NITZER EBB: After years in the making, its finally time for the
new Nitzer Ebb album. 'Industrial Complex' has just been scheduled for a
January 22 release. Hayo Lewerentz from Major Records tells Release Magazine
that they have a deal for Germany/Austria/Switzerland, Scandinavia and Eastern
Europe. Lewerentz has a past as a musician and producer in, for instance, U96
and Boytronic. His indie Major label is working with
Ladytron,
IAMX,
Mesh and Emmon.
Nitzer Ebb will work with different partners in other territories. Nitzer Ebb
already kicked off their new tour in USA. On many dates Nitzer Ebb will warm-up
the Depeche
Mode audience in Europe just like back in 1988. "The DM tour almost
came out of the blue. We had
Martin Gore
sing backing vocals on the track Once You Say for the new album
because we were looking for a ballsy female black gospel singer so Mart came
straight to mind. Seriously thats what we thought. We have remained
friends with the boys since first signing to Mute in the Eighties",
43-year old LA resident Douglas McCarthy says on the website
LostinaSupermarket.com.

THE DREAMSIDE:
Netherlands-based goth rockers
The Dreamside
will release their new album, 'Lunar Nature', through Lion Music on December 4,
2009. The music of 'Lunar Nature' can be described as atmospherical gothic rock
with a good mixture of heavy guitars, electronical elements and a proper shot
of alternative rock. All this interwoven with the remarkably voice of Kemi Vita
(Satyrian). The album was recorded at the Excess studios in Rotterdam (After
Forever, Gorefest) and contains 15 tracks including Seeds Of Pain, a
collaboration with the US synthpop act Information Society and Unspoken,
again with guest appearances by guitarist Karl Fieldhous of Born From Pain and
Kenji Siratori. The album was mastered by Kai Blankenberg at the Skyline
Studios in Düsseldorf/Germany (Paradise Lost, Doro).

SUICIDE
COMMANDO: For over twenty years
Suicide
Commando has been pushing the boundaries of aggression, and much like a
prolific serial killer, with each release Johan Van Roy's notoriety grows. The
new album, 'Implements Of Hell' (a reference to notorious serial killer Albert
Fish) is the successor to the 2006 album 'Bind Torture Kill'. In late 2009 we
received the warnings of what was to come. The singles Until We Die and
Die, Motherfucker Die served us notice as to the evil that was gestating
in the heart of Mr. Van Roy. Unrelenting, hook laden, and darker than Hell. The
new album is presented in a regular edition and a special Limited Edition with
a bonus disc. Released on January 26, 2010 on Metropolis
Records.

ROME: A new Rome MCD
titled "L'Assassin" will be released on Jan 29, 2010. ROMEs new
Chanson Noir is speaking of mans enslavement in a world of constant
transformation. The traditions of (french) Chanson and (american) Folk are
becoming more and more influential in their current work. Chansonniers like
Léo Ferré, Jacques Brel and singer/songwriter heroes like
Cave, Cash and
Cohen are obvious influences. The previous album Flowers From Exile
already gave a first impression of what they themselves call Chanson Noir
the darker side of singer/songwriter tradition: post-industrial-folk
with bits and pieces of Electronic Pop, complex arrangements of breathtaking
melodies, mesmerizing ballads of lyrical beauty, underlining
Romes ethos
of never faltering or remaining uninvolved. The EP/Single features four songs
among which the exclusive and intimate track One Flesh. The creative
input of new member Nikos Mavridis (on violin and other stringed instruments)
has become more and more apparent, most obviously in the reinvented,
stringed versions of two classic
Rome tracks Der
Erscheinungen Flucht and Der Brandtaucher.

BRENDAN
PERRY: Ex-Co-Leader of
Dead Can Dance,
Brendan
Perry, has completed and mastered his new album Ark. The album
is more reminiscent of the music Brendan has written for
Dead Can Dancethan
his previous solo work, 'Eye Of The Hunter', and contains two tracks,
Babylonand Crescent, that were originally composed for the
Dead Can Dance
reunion tour of 2005. 'Ark' comprises eight original compositions in total that
explore the recurring themes of identity, alienation, war, political corruption
and the threat that we as a species now pose to our environment. Unlike his
previous album 'Eye of the Hunter', which makes extensive use of live guitars,
bass and drums, practically all the instrumentation on 'Ark' is derived from
sample libraries and synthesizers. The release and tour dates have had to be
put back until early 2010. He is now managed by Colin Wallace who also manages
Elizabeth Fraser from the
Cocteau Twins.
In the pipeline is a 100 date double headline world tour with
Peter
Murphy of Bauhaus which
is planned to begin next March to coincide with the album release. The tour
will commence in South America via Mexico to North America and then on to
Europe. A short promotional film about the making of 'Ark' can viewed at the

MORRISSEY:
Former The
Smiths frontman
Morrissey was
released Sunday from a hospital where he was held overnight after collapsing on
stage during a concert on Saturday October 24. A spokeswoman for the Great
Western Hospital in the English city of Swindon said the singer was much
improved. "Morrissey became
unwell, and he was admitted overnight as a precautionary measure," she
said on condition of anonymity, in line with hospital policy. "He's been
seen by the medical team, much improved and now discharged home."
Morrissey was performing at the Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon, about 100
miles (160 kilometers) west of London, on Saturday night as part of his
'Swords' tour when he was stricken. Two band members rushed to his side and
dragged him offstage.
Morrissey had
already rescheduled several shows earlier this year due to illness, and is due
to play a string of European dates through the rest of October and
November.
